Chris Andrews is doing Bolaño justice in his tight translations. Suzanne Jill Levine was also good with her work with Guillermo Cabrera Infante. I would like to know if Andrews was able to collaborate with Bolaño when alive.
Andrews may have worked with Bolaño before the author's death: His first Bolaño translation was published at the end of 2003.Also, if you're interested about Andrews, here's an interview with Andrews about translation:http://quarterlyconversation.com/the-chris-andrews-interview
